You pay Bright Steps from those funds, then submit our official receipt and supporting documents through your AccessOAP family portal as an expense claim.

Many families also use MyDirectPlan.com to track and submit their OAP expenses.

Special Services at Home is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS). Funding is allocated quarterly, with most families receiving $5,000–$25,000 per child per year.

You pay Bright Steps directly, then submit our official receipt with a short cover letter to MCCSS through MyDirectPlan.com or via paper submission to your regional office.

Eligible expenses typically include developmental supports, structured group programs, respite, and skill-building — all of which align with the BSA program description.
